Mitre Saw Auxiliary Fence

I got a Metabo 256KGSm which seems really nice and well built. Perfect 90deg cuts out of the box.

It says in the manual you can attach an auxiliary fence to the included one using screws. However the fence has no holes and seems a little thin perhaps.

Anyone tried doing this with a CMS and not ended up regretting it?

Go for it, you won't have any problems. It was one of the first things I did with mine.
