Makita LS1216L 305mm Compound Mitre Saw

Thinking of buying the Makita LS1216L 305mm compound mitre saw. Has anybody any experience with this machine.

Used the older version and it was a great piece of kit on site work

I used to have one, awesome machine. Well built and superbly accurate. Just a little heavy for me lugging it on and off the van several times a day

It was much better than the Metabo I had before it.

Thanks for the info, it looks the part, hoped it was an induction motor but seems not, did you find it noisy? Weight not an issue as it will not be moved much

I have a couple, a normal mitre also a sliding one but it only has 2 slide bars and can be a bit unstable, both have served me well but just fancy a decent one.
