I have recently purchased and erected a log cabin. I have applied a Cuprinol paint finish to the exterior and now would like to pant the internal sections.
Should I use a similar paint finish (Cuprinol) or any other paint? Also should all the pine knots be sealed first?

Pine knots should always be sealed to prevent them showing through the paint later if that matters. If you don't have knotting you can use any shellac for this but you might want to use two coats, or spot-treat with a good stain-blocking primer (the best of them are based on shellac, e.g. Zinsser's BIN).

I think you can safely paint the inside using any paint you could use on interior woodwork, but the usual rules apply so normally that means you prime first, then paint. That's not to say you can't use the Cuprinol stuff if you prefer.
