Finished this yesterday. Made for a disabled lady to keep her pills and potions in next to her chair.
The brief was merely it has to have 2 draws and be of the size given.... any style, any wood.

So I used oak veneer... pictures dont do it justice. .. bit too light for the camera.
It has alternate grain direction on the top ends and draw fronts to match.
The handles are also alternate grain direction.
Mod edit:- image orientation changed.

I like the look of that - what size is it and did you take any 'during' pics so we can see the construction ?

Hello and thank you!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures during....thought it may get laughed at! !! .... it was jointed with biscuits if that helps!! :D

I'll have to look at my plans to see size... can't remember. .. I'll get back to ya on that!! Wasn't very big !

Very nice, clean & simple, well done. How did you make the handles?

Thank you very much

I first cut 4 blocks... then ran then over the router table on all 4 sides of the back to produce the back sticky outy bit!!!

I then marked with a pencil on the fronts a line of the same distance all the way round to create a smaller square and used a belt sander to grind to them lines creating the angled effect?

I hope thats somewhere near understandable! !!

Thank you for the nice comments....

Finish was nothing major... 2 coats of shellac sanding sealer. .. denibbed in between. ... then one coat of a b and q natural oak varnish. .. and 1 coat of bri wax natural. .. came up really well though. ...
I've never finished anything that big before... only smaller items
