For the princely sum of £3 I nabbed this bargain as the seller was packing up. He'd been using it as a tarpaulin weight :lol:

I'll strip it down later and see if I can find any maker's marks.
 
From the position of the iron near the middle, the handle near the end and the rounded back end I reckon that it could be German or at least, not English.

I'm not sure what you mean. It has a tote/handle, at the back.

Do you mean to say that it doesn't have a horn at the front?
If so, then I think the answer is that there are plenty of German planes which don't have a horn, like er... possibly this one!

Time to get the rust and grime off and look for a maker's mark.
