Hi all, my 636 has stopped feeding timber when thicknessing. I took the casing off and thought that the belt, whilst not broken, might have stretched.
So... I found a supplier, online and measured the existing belt at 700x6mm. So my trouble: the replacement belt is the same length as the existing one, on my machine.
Here
I can see the belt slipping and it’s definitely loose. The tensioner pulley/spring appears to be okay. Just to be sure, I shortened it by a turn and it didn’t make any difference.

Any ideas, thanks

Sorted it. The tension roller on the feed mechanism wasn’t fully engaged, so the belt was loose and slipping. It’s a really crappy design, in my opinion. I gave it all a rebuild and a clean and a little belt dressing here and there...
...it lives on!
(Just thought it might be useful to someone with the same problem)
