J Nuttall hand planes

I bought 2 wooden planes marked J Nuttall from a boot sale last summer.
Does anyone have any info about where they were made, etc? I have looked around on the net
but can't seem to find anything about them.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly, but are you sure its a makers mark and not an owners stamp?

Couldnt see anything in BPM, "Nurse" was the only maker beginning with "Nu" I could find.

Makers name normally on front end, is the plane correct length and not cut down?

Could it be an craftsman-made or apprentice piece?

Could you post a photograph of the stamp, and a photo
of the blade stamp, if different?
