I had this three times in about 18 months, and narrowed it down to petrol stations. I now only ever use Apple pay at any petrol station I visit, and since then have never had a card cloned.I've just received a call from Nationwide Security regarding some transactions attempted today, but NOT by me, so someone has managed to get my card details - card now blocked & new one on the way again, second one this year & this card is never used on ebay. At least NW are on the ball!
One thing for sure is that I can eliminate petrol stations as I don't use any, having 'retired' from driving 3yrs ago. I'm just waiting for my a/c to be unfrozen (NOT air con!
) then I'll know more. At least I haven't used the card at many outlets. I think I can count Mr.Sainbury on line out, which leaves a couple of online bookstores ABE (based in Mûnchen) for one. I'm hoping my investigations will be elementary +when I have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. [as Sir ACD wtote]
