I need a Lignum mallet. (Problem is solved. Thanks folks.)

Hi folks,

I need a dovetail mallet. My lathe is dismantled, and it's going to be some time before I can reinstate it. (I'm caring for my better-half after her knee surgery.) In any case, I'm not sure my meagre turning skills would be up to the job. :-({|=

I have the material; two Lignum bowling woods, and some 3x3 Maple or 2 x 2 Ash, for a handle.

Is there anyone within sensible driving distance from Walsall, who can assist me with the turning? [-o<

I don't expect a freebie, but there should be a bowling wood and Maple left over and going spare.

There's no rush; certainly it can wait until the New Year.

well if "wood master" volunteers for the task, tell him to bugger off. mine mysteriously got lost in the post and he refused to provide proof of postage or reply to pm's. same person was the last to receive one of the passarounds. cooincidence?
