I’ve painted the walls of this room two colours, and because the walls weren’t square and getting a definitive, symmetrical line between the two colours was impossible; I decided to put wooden beading in the corners. There’s one for each corner (two blue, two grey, alternating in a cross).

As you can see though, the gaps in between them are inconsistent. I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to rectify it? An obvious choice would be filler or caulking but surely I’d just end up getting it all over the wood and the wall because the gap is so small, and mess up the paint trying to get it off.
I tried that on the right hand side in the pic and it didn’t go very well...
Any ideas?

Thanks!

i would caulk it, and use plenty of water on the finger, it will be messy and wet, but the finish if done right will be smooth and seamless, disclaimer: it is just my own way that i have done similar in the past, will not be responsible for it going wrong if attempted,

Its what they invented masking tape for.
Works just as well with caulking as it does with paint.
