Hot and cold tap hoses

I've just fitted a new basin mono tap which came with braided hoses that you connect by hand tightening.

After fitting, I realised one of the hoses has some small red marks along it - which I'm guessing indicates it should be used on the hot side.

I've use it on the cold side. Will this matter and is there a possibility of the hot side splitting, or do they all braided hoses have the same heat resistance?

They'll be identical internally. stick a bit of tape round the fitting with HOT written on it for the next time you have to mess with it.
