Hi just got back from Hollowell Steam Rally and Heavy Horse Show.
these photo's are from my stand at the show my new lathe,stand and some bits I turned and got given a 59" Ash log

They're nice little lathes aren't they? Looking at one yesterday, quite a heay lump. You have some good looking clocks there as well.

Looks a good set up chris & a nice display.

How did the show go for you, many punters?


I`ll have to look out for the show next year, i like to see the old steam engines.

I recently reviewed this lathe for the Wooturning mag.
It is a great lathe everything about it says quality.
The only thing i did not like was the small spindle size.
Apparently the reason for the small spindle size is because most of the Byers of this lathe are upgrading from another Record lathe and they can use the same chuck and accessories.
I think the lathe is a little on the expensive side but if you can afford it i think it is a lathe that will last for ever.
Some very nice work on display well done.
