Help with wood identification

Hi All,
I picked up a couple of offcuts today and i'm not 100% sure what they are.

Here's the first one, I was told that it might be lime

here the second, I think it may be maple.

I can send more close up pics if it would help

I thought second probably maple, maybe soft/field maple.

The first i dont recognise, is it very heavy? It has a slight look of lime, if it it is would be pretty light and soft
.

First thought was Tulip. If it is it's quite light in weight.

It does feel quite light, I'd say the two bits feel about the same weight.

Colouring a bit like tulip but grain not typical

Looks like tulip wood on the first pic, particularly the bit on the left, are they definitely the same?

No, they're not the same, they were picked up from two different places
