St. David's day cheered me up today. I was near the centre of Bradford when someone played Men of Harlech on the town Hall Carrilon. Fantastic! It used to be used for carols at Christmas but that stopped 'Because someone might object'. It was good to hear it again, the Carrillon. I'm looking forward to St. Georges day and of course St Andrews, if only to find out the tune choice.

There is a very good Carillon here in Carcassonne and the last time I heard it I was in the chamber with the very enthuastic player and videoing it! St Vincents is the church. The last tune he was playing was La Marseillaise and that was fantastic!!!
14th July, the day after my birthday, is worth being here for!
The Welsh are much more forward, their flag flies from houses and cars, the carol services are held around the town, buskers are frequent and today there were people handing out leaflets for the forthcoming referendum.
No one complains.
