I like the "passive sound enhancement". Cunning.
I made one of these the other day out a bit of banister offcut (no lathe involved). I cut the slot off centre, with the idea of the phone being at the front, leaning back over the centre of gravity. The user however prefers it the other way around, but it still seems to work ok.
