I've recently seen/heard of Grant toolworks? I've googled them and could find anything, can any one tell me about then, such as value? Quality? What's there irons made from? Anything..
Cheers

Grant is a brand name used by Tilgear, UK.

The planes are made in China, probably by Quangsheng. My one and only Chinese plane is a Grant edge plane - which is a rip-off of the Veritas edge plane (it differs from the Stanley). It is inferior in quality to the Veritas model (threads are sloppier, paint in places there shouldn't be any) :( .

I've learnt my lesson

Cheers, Vann.

I believe Quangsheng quality varies, according to the requirements of the retailer. Woodriver and WSH Quangsheng planes have a reputation for better QC, while the Tilgear and others are at the lower end.
