Cut down a dead hazelnut tree today ….it’s been dead as long as we’ve been here -7 years or so .

saved the trunk section s 4-5” dia and in approx 30” lengths for al you turning enthusiasts

I travel to lots of areas of the uk with my daytime job so could meet at convenient places etc to hand over

Camelford and Plymouth this week
kent w/c 29th aug
glasgow/Edinburgh area w/c 4th sept
 
I've turned some small bits of hazel and not sure if it is the same when bigger logs but the very centre is soft, so you'll need to cut blanks missing the centre. Cuts nicely though although not a lot of figure in the wood. I made a little christmas tree so works well as it's a very white wood.
