Clean looking profile, not too fussy.

Spent most of the time preparing the wood and getting it square as well as the panel wood all thicknessed just need to saw that to the correct width. The top and cushioned top will be down to my sister not sure about the finish yet but may need to try and match it to her other oak furniture.

Well I got the four done at last but not due to messing up but other things getting in the way. Not perfect match but close enough, I should imagine that with practice I could get things like this a little close as i am so use to doing one off's.

Good set there Derek, sure they will more than look the part on the foot stool.
Often set out to do some matched items with trepidation but surprise myself how well they turn out to the eye if not the Vernier, will never do enough to match the livelihood making standards of Richard Findley myself but it's surprising what you can do with a simple story board and a few aiming point markers with a parting tool etc.

They will not be this close when fitted so any variation will not be so noticable. I did make a cardboard story board with measurements on so had that handy for this little job. Like most things the more that you do the better you become, practice practice practice as they say. I will stick to one off's even the birdhouses are not all identical.

Finished at last.

Been working on and off on this stool(more off than on) now complete as far as I am able to go the light wooden top is there to add a seat onto it and will hold it to the wooden frame by 4 screws. Made from Oak with a MDF base and pine seat pad. When the seat is finished I will try and get a photo
