Flowering Cherry

hi all
got home from work on friday and found this on the garden the wife carried it from a friend's garden and sealed the ends with pva for me

from tree to vase in under 12 hours

I have cut some cherry down about a year ago and put some candle wax on the ends, which was the only thing in the house what i could use.

BUT....it is not that orange cherry look...it is more ash like color and nowhere ever near a bit browner....Will the color come more later than that??

BTW nice logs, very jealous i am and nicely turned vase.
