I am going over to help a friend lay some floor boards (planks) in his garage roof.
Obviously, a nail gun would speed things considerably. I only have an 18g nail gun. I know it's not the traditional way of doing it, but given it's a low traffic area, would banging them in with some 50mm t-head 18g nails through the top (don't need to be secret nailed) do the trick?

Having been over there today, the bits he needs doing are actually under the sides of the roof, and will just be used for putting storage boxes on. I think that pinning will be fine for this situation considering the time it will save. As for being removable, the boards that already down in the centre of the room have been put down with a b*ggery great nail gun and 4" galv nails, and aren't going anywhere...
