First go at a crotch turning (if that's not too rude 😳)

Hi folks,
Finally had a chance to get in the garage for a play.
Thought I'd have a go at a 'winged' item. VERY imperfect, but at least I got through it.

Cherry 220mmx190mmx20mm. Finishing oil. Not buffed yet.

and also feel free to see how many images you can find in the grain patterns - so far we've found a bird with her little ones, or a peering cat, depending on viewing angle. Plus what looks like a Dr Zeuss character.

First thing I saw was a nest of vipers!
Nice piece of work.

Oh wow! You're right. I think the vipers were out to get me when it was spinning! Funny how we spot different things. The images are 'sideways' compared to how we saw the cat and birds.
