I'm about to start to build a Lych Gate in pressure treated wood.

For years, I've always used a mix of wood tar, terpentine, and linseed oil plus a pigment if needed.

Does anyone know if there is a more modern way of finishing that is better? Or should I stick with the way I know?

Thanks for the reply.

I've had a look at Ensele, but after reading up on it, see it more as an addition to the stuff I've been using before. That is to say, when the pieces are sawn, treat the end grain with it, then add the treatment I've previously used.
