Finding PAR Timber at reasonable prices

Hi, I live in north east surrey near aldershot, and I have been looking on the Web and phoning around, trying to get some redwood planks planed all around to specific sizes, but most of the places only supply sapelle or other hardwoods, I don't own a planner thickesser to be able to make up my own, does anyone have a list of suppliers that they use who would make up the timber.

What I need are 12 lengths 1600mmx90mmx25mm Redwood and 1 length 1200mmx130mmx70mm hardwood.

These are for making up a sash window box frame and sill.

would it not be a good idea to have a listing of suppliers on this site with members ratings on cost quality and service?? :?

Have you tried your local joinery shops :?:

They should be able to supply the timber and machine to your sizes.

I'd also make the cill from redwood as Jacob says.

Most timber merchants - even Travis Perkins either stock or can get within a couple of days, Redwood. As has already been pointed out though, you may need to change your sizes slightly - otherwise you will have to pay an additional cost for the machining.

Your other option of course is to find a willing fellow woody who can machine the sized for you.
