Festool Plugit rewire

I had to buy a new lead quickly as i noticed fraying where the cable comes out of the boot on the plugit connector.

Can the old one be repaired? Theres enough wire to do a repair if i cut the boot off but would be nice to rewire it properly in the connector.

I was told by one of my suppliers festool products are 10% more now, Im after another sander soon and the 10% increase still is worth paying for a very good sander.

You can buy the plug-it connectors as an accessory on eBay. I did this when I was making up some longer cables
and converting all my other power tools to use plugit with a roll of rubber cable which it identical to Festool as far
as I can make out. Just a bunch cheaper from the electrical wholesaler.

Thanks for that, Nice to know you can buy them for longer lengths, I took my festool one apart today and it cant be rewired in the plug.
