Hi everyone , this my first post.
I have just bought off fleabay a draper HD19/16c pillar drill.
Can anyone please tell me what height the belt pulleys should be as the motor pulley is higher than the other two and drill sounds noisy.
Can you also tell me where i can purchase a new no volt switch housing as i broke it when i went to collect it, it is quite a heavy pillar drill.
Thanks
Derek

Thank you Nev for getting back to me , i have the pdf you gave me the link to . i think you misunderstood my question .
If i take the motor pulley off say to replace a faulty motor ,when you replace it , then slide the pulley back on, in respect to the other pulleys what height should it be ,
if i place a straight edge across the top of the spindle pulley and centre pulley, should the motor pulley height be same, lower or higher ?
Thank you
Derek

So the non technical answer is that whichever pulley pair the belt is on, it should be running square in the groove.

What they said :)
So all three should be level at the grooves/ belt seats. Possibly the motor has been changed to one with a different length shaft? I believe the motor is fixed on a sliding plate so you should be able to move it up or down. If its just the wrong size maybe a re-drilling of the plate or motor mount would work? (assuming the motors been changed)

Thank you to everyone who answered my question, followed your advice , drill running much smoother now
Sorry about delay getting back to you all.
regards
Derek
