I have aquired a Delta SA446 belt/disc sander with a burnt out motor.
My intention was to try and source a replacement motor, but there are no markings at all on the motor, not even a manufacturer name, which makes it a bit tricky.
However, knowing that a lot of stuff is made in china etc and then badged by various companies. Looking at one of the Axminster sanders the AS408 looks very very similar, the only difference is that the Axminster one has an 8" disk, the Delta has a 6" disk.
So, as Axminster are so good at after sales, I was wondering if the motor from an Axminster AS408 would fit my Delta SA446?
Any thoughts anyone?
