I want some tough waterproof sheeting to go under a woven one-ton bag to keep the barbecue dry in the winter (I refuse to pay a stupid price for the official cover on principle).
Sheet DPM would be really good for the job, but, given it's covered up in use, I can't see why they'd make it especially UV proof. So, apart from the aesthetics ("some folks prefer blue") I was wondering if there's any official difference between the blue and black versions.
I've tried cheap tarps in the past, but the handle on top of the barbecue wears a hole over time. I'm hoping if I use DPM underneath I can just replace it as needed under the bag.
