A piece of fairly good curly Eucalypt, originally I was going to carve spirals on it. But thought better of it as the curl is effective enough on its own.

7x3" witha wall of around 1/8th" finished with WOP two coats and buffed with a neutral wax.

Looks very nice indeed, classy bit of turning. What's WOP though?
 
Very nice piece of timber that, and extremely well executed.
I too have been trying to fit words into WOP. The best I can guess is walnut oil polish. Anywhere close?
 
Hi Hughie , another classic beautiful piece super wood and your usual high standards are well met .

I think WOP is aWipe On Polyurathane or something like that ,used quite a lot by US turners .
 
What's WOP though

Wipe On Poly by MinWax an American product. As I understand its not available in the UK as yet, but there some moves a foot to buy out a local UK company by an American who makes the stuff.
