Ghost of the disenchanted
My Scheppach Tiger 2000 wheel seems to have a radial crack in it. I suspect the shaft and fixing nut corroding is responsible. For the time being, it is still in one piece so just about usable, this being a slow wheel.
What to replace it with ? It is 200mm dia, 12mm bore, and 40mm wide. So, it looks like the £73.68 Tormek wheel will fit, or the Scheppach version at £51.71, or even a Sealey one for £18.34. I presume the price reflects quality, or does it just reflect the name on the label ?
I assume a liberal application of grease when fitting ought to at least slow repeat of the corrosion problem.
