Has anyone ever imported one? if so, how difficult was the process and was there any customs charges?

Probably cheaper to get one from cyclone Central isn't it? Peter Parfet did a build video on one, if you're interested

I think you need to allow double the purchase price. If its shipped UPS then add another 25%.

Imports will be charged import duty on the value of the parts AND shipping value (several years ago now, but that was in the 20% range), then 20% VAT on top.
