Help my drill blew it's on/off relay switch..
Looked at it and one of the copper contacts has come off, also
looks like it has been sparking..Could wire it to a toggle on/off
but that's not to Ideal
Anyone know where I can get a spare.?
Posted links to pics save the forums bandwidth..

Has anyone had this problem. ??..Also want to change the belts they
look a bit worse for ware.

That looks like a no volt release switch with the coil showing.

These can be obtained form many places, Axminster ebay etc. May be wise to check dimensions if trying to get replacement to fit. Not a big issue because as long as you have space behind you can fit a dummy plate.

Toggle switch, not a good idea.

Cheers

Now that sounds more like it...
Will ring them in morning. I have a shop not to far from me
in Altrincham Manchester..

I got mine last August 2008
The guy had it for sale on eBay so I won it for £25 quid
He said I have another one if you want it for the same price, So
I got two for £50..
Just looked on eBay and they seem to have shot up..
in price..

Got up and went off driving and in shed..
forgot to phone about drill switch..
But I striped the switch right down and
soldered the contact back on put it back in the
drill bingo it worked for how long you guess is
as good as mine.
One thing I did notice I was using the wrong extension lead.
It has no earth and the drill need an earth..Could be why the switch was
sparking and blew the contact of.
Still going to get new switch just in case

Here is the repair
