Postman's just delivered a very shabby bullnose plane. Some twit has painted it any tips on removing it ?

I can just see a makers mark  so I need to be gentle.

Thanks in advance,
Carl

Paint remover.

That would work Jacob but I'd be worried about getting any on the infill.

Currently attacking one side with oil and my finger.

Might have to take drastic action and get a lemon (thanks Jimi)

Apologies for the lack of photos but since I'll be flogging it as soon as it something like I thought it better not to.

The oil is working and I've sorted the sole. Took my washita out of its box and ran it along the perfectly flat underside a few times and voila, that was easy.

Not a tool I have much use for and besides I already have a superior Slater with a great I.Sorby iron.

So does Derek Cohen

Hehe I reading that write-up by Derek I was reminded of "the little train that could" :) Nice to bring back a dodgy tool to working use again.
