Afternoon all,

I'm thinking of spending a bit of time this summer making a 2x72 belt grinder similar to the one John Heisz has made which seemed to work out well for him!
I wondered if anyone has given it a go and has any thoughts that i might find useful?
Also i'm thinking of using it to sharpen all my turning tools and kill 2 birds instead of forking out for a bench grinder - any immediate issues anyone can foresee here?

TIA
Joe

Look up Jeremy Schmidt on the Tube, finished one a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the responses- Yeah i've seen Jeremy's, great bit of kit but i dont have access to a welder so i was going to have a crack at making it from birch ply and oak
