This Baily No5 Plane was gifted to me. For a Local Men In Sheds.
At first look it seamed to be ok, a bit of rust. That is easy sorted.
Getting it to bits I found the rear hand fixings were bent, the fron was jammed, but worse. It had been dropped, had and the sole to sides were bent.
So I took it to a friends garage, were he has a surface grinder. for skimming cylinder heads and engine blocks.
A few pass's and we have true base, a true sides at 90des to each other.
Plus a nice finish.
