I've seen one of these for sale and thinking about buying is there any problems with the chuck and do they still make jaws to fit?
And how much are they worth?
Thanks

Excellent chucks, all current axminster jaw carriers and accessory jaws will be compatible.

They have the great advantage of having standard ISO backplates so are easy to adapt to differing lathe threads.
Toolpost Versa Chuck uses the same backplates. (cheaper)

Excellent chuck, no issues. You only have to look at any prof turners workshuop to find one (and usually more).

Now out of production I wonder whether 2nd hand ones will have a premium?!

Hi

Were these chucks produced by Axi or just imported? If they were imports I expect they are still available from the usual 'model engineering' suppliers.

The originals were made in Poland, not sure where subsequent stocks were made:-
