As some may be aware that Axminster gave away 20 bandsaw blades for members here to try.
Any way fitted mine yesterday and got it all running true.
The blade I have is a 13mm X 6-10tpi bi-metal M42
Being a new blade it cut through the wood with ease. I found it left quite a clean cut through two logs of 5" diameter and also a short piece of dried oak again at 5".
I have taken a couple of pictures hopefully showing the cut and the selection of wood I cut except the oak(this is after cutting the logs up). The small square section wood on the right is 1" square. Also the thin piece was a 1/16" slice of of the chestnut. How the blade will preform after a little more work can only be answered with a bit more time.
So first impressions are good
