Axminster 1218vs

Has anyone got one? I'm thinking of upgrading to one from a dml 24 for the ease of use (cam action clamps, variable speed, increase in bowl capacity). I did want a Jet 1220vs but they're not available (new) any more, so just thought I'd ask if there's any experience with that lathe here.

Hi Brian,
Did you see that there was a 1416VS for sale on the forum for sale section.

Much better lathe than either of your proposals for £500.

Might have a look, but postage overseas is usually expensive!
Was also looking at a Record DML305 which is similar size/capacity it seems.

i have the 1218vs not used it a lot yet though , i got the ext bed for it and a nova3 chuck . the vspeed is great. it seems nice and quite
