Ash limbs

This has likely been covered here, but I haven't been able to find the correct search string - so far.
Are there any special considerations for drying ash? I have been given some lovely straight limbs around 4" in diameter and around 3' long.
These are freshly cut, so I intend getting the end grain sealed ASAP. I would prefer to keep them intact if possible for the time being. I have heard that ash is prone to staining from contact so would prefer to avoid this if possible.

Taz, yep just seal the ends and keep it in the three foot lengths. At least thats what I would do.

Cheers matey. Shall be heading out shortly so will get the ends sealed then pop them up in the roof space
