Ash Cot and a past project - new pics

Hello all,

Just took delivery of this:

On the left of the long sections in this last picture is some AWO - 1x8 boards - for a tv cabinate, the rest is Ash for a cot.

Top left is 1x3 Ash cut to length (plus allowance for split ends!) This is for spindles.

I am making a cot for the brother in law so am copying a previous cot I did for the arrival of our baby boy. I only started taking pictures of the work I was doing when I was half way through the cot so no early WIP pics im afraid.

Frame, box bed, scroll legs, head and foot boards in place:

Not quite finished, got the tops of the head and foot board to do but baby came out!!

Got to wait for a week or so for the stock to settle so will be updating after that. Hope you like the pics.

That's a beautiful room with a superb floor you have there Why though do you use it store firewood :roll:

Its my first time working with ash. Usually use oak. Hope it goes well.

The floor is ABW, Its been down about a year now but i've neglected to re-apply a finish so its a little bit dull now.
