If you want to change the disc sander grit thing, you have the throw away the one you take off? You can't just change them as you need to and re-use? Whenever you need to change grits you're just chucking the other one out? They stick on, and the instructions say take it off, throw it away, scrape off excess adhesive, etc. Doesn't sound as useful or economical as I thought it would be.

My older axminster 12" disc sander uses velcro backed discs, not so readily available and usually more expensive.

I make use of cheaper adhesive backed disc if they are the only ones available by attaching them to a worn out velcro backed item.

Maybe you can fit your disc with a self adhesive velcro backing, that's assuming you can get velcro discs of suitable diameter of course.

well i brought a spare disk and just swap them so i can have 2 different grits and swapping disks is just an allen key on my sander

Great idea! I'll check if mine can be removed with an allen key.
