So I've just bought a TS 200 and a Domino. That was my planned expenditure and then I get a VAT free thing from machine mart so I go and but a few bits from them. Ok that's me done I think, and now I see that Axminster are taking £50 off their £250 bandsaw that I was thinking of buying. So I guess I'll be getting that as well then.

The router solution can wait till.... Well probably next week when that comes up on an offer, can people please spread out the offers that I'm interested in; the wife will kill me soon!

I have seen offers come and go but not sure how often they cycle round. MrsStu said I can have the bandsaw for Father's Day! Result I normally get a card and some cold toast!

With that lot you should be able to build yourself a good fort to take refuge in!

So bandsaw arrived today. All very speedy from Axminster. I doubt that I'll use the base and I think I'll bench mount it. Only had a quick go so far but it seems very accurate. I did resaw some decking probably about 5" and it did that, but I could tell that, that was probably at its limit in terms of power. However it did cope with it, although you probably have to go quite slowly with it. I also cut some 18mm MDF that I had lying around and it cut that without issue. Only need two more tools, one is a planer thicknesser and the other is a router solution. I'm undecided about the router options so I'll make do with my old cheap one for the time being. As for the planer thicknesser, probably just going to go for one of the cheap ones as space is at a premium. I'm sure one of the cheap ones that everyone seems to rebadge will be fine for my needs. Before I do that though I need to have a massive sort out in the garage aka workshop to fit it all in.

Don't forget your tuffsaws bandsaw blade, that will make it feel like you've added 30% more power!

Might be worth a check Stu........My dad got the same saw in January and was disapointed in it's ability, after a bit of checking and setting up we noticed the drive belt tension was rather lacking on factory setup. 30 seconds with a spanner and problem solved. I left him cutting slices of 5" oak for my daughters dolls house and with a smile on his face.

+1 for the Tuff Saws blade, makes a world of difference. Give Ian a ring, a really helpful guy, you won't be disappointed!
