I've nearly finished, just need to drill holes in the alloy rails before attaching to the fence, but I'm a little stuck on the best way of attaching the wings/side tables to the base. At some point I'll be using a sacrificial fence for the odd job so I've decided to make the side tables slide backwards and forwards so to speak and this is where
I could do with a little help?

Should I router grooves in the base with a bolt coming up through the side tables?
Should I router a slot in the side tables with a bolt fixed in the base?
Or should I put 1/2 inch T Track in the base?

1/2 inch T track in the base is what I'd choose, but I'm perplexed as to what added functionality having them movable would achieve? ( I could and am most likely being a bit thick.)

Just a thought. Would it not be better to go for an extra hole spaced the distance of the sacrificial fence, rather than a slot.
Then you will not have to worry about lining up the side tables each time they get moved.
