Now that the cold days are creeping up on us, a nice dish to cook itself and very warming.

Ingredients

0.5kgs lean braising steak
3 lamb's kidneys
1 whole onion
2 oxo cubes
1/2 pkt dried vegetables
1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs
Gravy granules

Method

Chop steak into 1/2" cubes and bung into casserole dish
Cut up kidneys removing white bits bung into same dish
Chop up onion into small pieces into same dish
Crush 2 oxo cubes over mixture and mix well together adding salt & pepper.
Sprinkle over half pkt dried vegetables
Add 1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs
Make up half pint gravy granule mix and pour over meat etc.
Add more hot water to dish if a lot of gravy is liked.
Give whole lot a good stir.

Put on lid and cook in oven for 90mins @ 160degrees stirring occasionally

Cook for a further 90mins @ 180degrees again stirring occasionally.

Allow to rest for 15 mins and serve with mashed potato or rice.

Lovely and warming.
