Nice!
I was thinking of trying something like that for my next project on a lovely piece of elm that I can't bear to cut down to a square.

Out of interest, how fast was it spinning? I've seen Jimmy Clewes demo his winged box and he turns it up to the max - lots of propeller noise and quite a draft produced.

Hi Duncan,
Yes if it is balance you can wind it up, but word of caution WOW it hurts if you get your fingers in the way. As I only have one hand don't want to loose the other one, so be alert and very careful. I will show you my out of balance 20 x 9 1/2 x 3 inch one soon.
Cheers

Yep,very nice piece :D Love the colouring as well.
Does it sit on the wings, the bowl or both ?

Hi PowerTool,
I have made a number of these, and I find that they look best if the are standing on the wings, and the bowl is floating.
Cheers
