Today I decided to cut one of the large logs i had in workshop.
Then attacked it with chain saw to fit on lathe. Max diameter at the min is 280mm. But I am remaking the tool system that's missing to allow large bowls to be turned. By rotating the headstock through 90deg This will allow much larger items to be turned.
Anyway got it mounted on lathe and knocked off the edges.
Set lathe very slow speed way out of balance.
Scarry when its dancing and sticking metal chisel into it
Feels a lot safer once mounted into chuck and now upped the speed some .
Will leave it to settle for while now.
