Like almost every years, the woodworking forum Legnofilia (Woodphilia) staff published a woodworking related calendar. And like last year, they also made an english version for all the not italians friends. Feel free to download it for free, freely here...

Do you see now that even the graphite begins to have his own logical explanation? :-)

    what are CLIFTON doing.....

And what about un-lumpy lillac? http://www.legnofilia.it/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7904 Is it not a sufficiently British color?

    what are CLIFTON doing.....

And after this confession we can deduce that masochists live all over the world. :-p P.S. Sorry for these OT jokes. I shut up now.

Phil, do you see, down there, the gates of hell, which have opened when you pressed the submit button? ;-)

    what are CLIFTON doing.....

Nah, the Clifton are fine as they are. Well, maybe the Lee Valley should employ a designer. I do not say an italian one, just a designer. :-)

    what are CLIFTON doing.....

It is a common opinion that you British you do not have very good taste in the choice of colors (except for the amazing pastel colors of the clothes of His Heighness your Queen). So I did a poll on an Italian forum and the 100% (6 of 6) says that the dark gray is better than dark green...

How Bassoli & Barrie rasps are made

Giacomo Malaspina, one of the editors of the italian woodworking magazine LegnoLab, visited the Bassoli & Barrie factory and took several photos of the various working steps of an hand stitched rifloir. You can see the other photos here: http://www.legnofilia.it/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11326...

    Lie Nielsen Calendar

No I don't think, because the violin shavings are a protected designation of origin product. They must have taken at least a month of Cremona fog.

    Lie Nielsen Calendar

Yesterday I took this photo of a store window in my town. They sell "violin shavings" bags for 2 Euro each. About 10 grams of fir shavings, I think.

    Lie Nielsen Calendar

The staff of the italian woodworking forum Legnofilia, has made a calendar with the photos sent by the users. Also in English. http://www.legnofilia.it/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11190 Well, it is not ready to use out of the box like the LV one, in the sense that you have to print it, but it is free.

    We made a scrub plane

You were right. After knowing that the Lie Nielsen honing guide will be priced starting from 100 USD (also without knowing if it will have a cambered roller too) and since I'm a frugal woodworker, I decided to lose a little more time with the modification of my Eclipse clone guide. I filed...

    We made a scrub plane

Many thanks you too. Me too. :-) I think it is Rosewood. The handles come from an ugly no-name plane. They was not so well shaped, but the wood was beautiful. The dovetailed patch is Black Locust.

    We made a scrub plane

Yes, thanks, but i doesn't work. :-( When I incline the guide to sharpen the corners of the blade, the bottom edges of the guide casting touch the stone before I can reach the corners of the blade. First I had shortened the bars and the threaded rod and then I also filed a bit the bottom edges...

Considering the time it took to prepare the back, I also think its a good steel.

    We made a scrub plane

As I said previously I have sharpened this blade freehand with a (double) convex bevel. Although I'm not used to sharpen freehand, It was not a long or difficult task. But I could not get a sharp edge like when I sharpen with a guide (it cut arm hair the same, but less easily). Thank you very...

    We made a scrub plane

I'll do it. Since my friend Vittorio is building another one for himself, I'll propose him your suggestion. ;-) In any case, if you want to see something like that, a while ago I painted a plane in lilac: :-) http://www.legnofilia.it/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7904
