Hi there, I have a guy who has made something out off plywood and wants to stain it black. He has tried some Ebony miniwax but it has come out blotchy. What type of wood stain would be best, a oil or water based. Some advice would be great. cheers Graham

Hi there, I managed to get my colour match done ok to match my speakers but now I am not sure what is the best finish to use. I want a smooth medium gloss finish. I have tried some clear gloss hard wax oil which looks ok but I am not sure if I should be using something else. cheers Graham
