Has anybody done anything to improve the extraction on the sip table saw.
It seems to be quite poor and I have thought about trying to improve it.
I use a large bag type extractor which shifts a fair amount of air.

I was pricing some 18mm oak faced mdf today at my local yard.
£39 Plus vat for a full sheet.
How dose this compare with the other end of the country.
I'm in Peterhead in Scotland.

Has anybody got any experience with this 1200x190mm planer from fox
on sale at rutlands
http://www.rutlands.co.uk/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/F22567
I was going to go down the planer/thicknesser route with the metabo machine but saw this and thought about separates

I am looking at several extractors of the chip type and
was wondering what sort of airflow rates are required.
I see fox do one with a flow rate of 2500 m/min.
Do I need one this high or will 1000 be enough
Mike
I noticed in the latest screwfix flyer that they have some dewalt
random orbit sanders going for £80.
This is as far as I can tell the Metabo 450 but in dewalt colours.
Only problem is it's 110 volt.

I have decided to make a mobile base for the sip 10" cabinet saw I have on order but to have it ready before the saw arrives I need to know the
size of the saws footprint.
Can please anybody help me with these dimensions.
Mike
I have ordered a new sip saw and will require a mobile base for it.
Has anybody got any recommendations.
My floor is concrete but not the best finish in the world.
Mike
I have been looking at the sip table saw and I have noticed that the blade
bore size is 1" yet all the blades I have seen are either 16 or 30 mm.
Is this correct and if so what is the availability of 1" bore blades to fit this saw.
Mike
I am looking for a large Tri square for marking out wide boards.
Has anybody got any ideas who might make one.
I would prefer one in plastic or metal rather than
making one in wood.

I have been looking at the combination angle accessory for the guide rails
but I have seen two types .
Rutlands have one on their site which is different from the one on the festool site.
Has anybody got one and what type. :?
I am new to this site but having trolled through the various posts
and other internet sites I have decided to order a Festo Plunge saw kit.
Hope it is as good as it sounds.
Will keep you posted.
