If anyone is interested, ended up placing an order for what we wanted through https://www.midlandmetalwindows.co.uk/ who have been super helpful and seem really competitvely priced. Haven't had the window through yet, so will post again when it arrives.

    Multitool advice

Hi All, Am thinking about purchasing a multitool to help with a few bits at home and want to make sure what I get is good quality and will last. I've looked at the Dewalt and also the Festool (which looks amazing, but is obviously top dollar). Anyone have any recommendations? Guess it will have...

Sold Leigh D4RM Pro 610mm (24") Dovetail Router Jig and accessory kit BNIB

Hi Jim. I have a rarely used D4R Pro Dovetail jig in the box that I was thinking about parting with if you're interested? Haven't got the accessory kit I'm afraid. Cheers, Ed.

    Software for planning application

Hi Jon. Depends on Mac or PC. You can get 30 day trials on Autocad, or Progecad (called iCad on Mac), which are both great. If you want something slightly simpler, sketchup is well regarded (although not personally a fan), or Turbocad is pretty good (and cheap to purchase too).

    Crittall Style Windows

HI All, Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. I'm looking for a window / door manufacturer that will do a genuinely bespoke design (as opposed to from a range and then made to measure) in either steel or ideally aluminium. We're looking to create something like the below bay window...

Jessem clear cut stock guides modification to fit Dewalt 7485 table saw.

What a great idea! Hadn't come across Jessem before and have a Dewalt, so will look into mirroring this - thanks for the heads up!

    Storing wood

Hi All, Don't really have enough space in my workshop to store sheets of plywood / mdf, so was thinking about some kind of narrow store outside, but obviously would need to be watertight. Anyone got any suggestions of things they've bought or built? Am thinking of a space may 2.5m deep, 2m high...

Another table saw thread buying question - Dewalt v Evolution Rage...?

I have a similar set up to the OP and have the Dewalt, which I'm really happy with. A good set up + the dual locking fence makes accurate cuts really easy. Would definitely recommend it.

    Dowel jig

Anyone have any recommendations for a good dowel jig? I'm looking to drill equidistant dowel holes into parallel mdf sheets to support movable shelving.

    Finishing

Hi All. Just finished a production desk rack for a friends music studio (copied from another design, but made with plywood). Not sure what to finish it with is given the kind of wear and tear it'll get. Any thoughts? Wax / oil / varnish etc? Cheers.
