    I just thought that maybe if you set your bandsaw up as suggested in the video that it might address some of your issues? It helped me immensely when I set my bandsaw up using this information.

    The collet you linked to doesn’t look like the Mafell one above.

    No it doesn’t, you’re looking at the wrong model. The FM1000 has proprietary OZ collets: The machine you’ve looked at is the Mafell FM1000 PV-ER. This does indeed take standard ER collets but costs £122 more than the FM1000...

    Sharpening

    I was honing some small HSS cutters with an 800g belt on my Ultimate Edge the other day. The join in the belt was a bit of a nuisance but I turned the speed right down and it solved the issue. Sometimes I also get a better edge by running the belt in the opposite direction for some reason.
